Canon EOS R6 Mark II — Film Looks & Free Picture Styles
The R6 Mark II is the hybrid that convinced a lot of people to stop carrying two cameras: 24 MP full frame, fast subject detection, and video good enough to be the primary use. For a body that shoots both, the Picture Style engine is the closest thing to a shared look between the two: register a film once and your stills and your clips come out of the same palette.
It also solves a workflow problem typical of hybrids — grading every clip to match a photo set. If the look is in the camera, the match is already made when the file lands.
How to load a film look on the EOS R6 Mark II
Register the style through EOS Utility: install it (free from Canon), connect the R6 Mark II over USB and open "Camera settings/Remote shooting" → "Register User Defined style", choose a User Def. slot and open the .PF3. It shows up in the Picture Style menu under the name embedded in the file. Canon's manual refers to EOS Utility for this import; there is no register-from-card route.
Wi-Fi works the same way with no cable. Full walkthrough, menu by menu: the installation guide.

Fine-grain red-filter black and white with a strong graphic bite.

Faded and cold, the anti-look for overcast days and documentary work.

Soft, flattering color that holds up on skin under mixed light.
All free, all loadable in the User Def. slots of this body. The full catalog is in Films.
FAQ
Can one look cover both photos and video on the R6 II?
Yes. Picture Styles apply to movie recording as well as stills, so a film registered in a User Def. slot grades both. It is the simplest way to keep a shoot's photos and clips consistent.
Do I lose the ability to grade later?
Not if you shoot RAW or C-Log for video: the style affects the JPEG and the preview, while the RAW keeps the full sensor data. Shoot RAW+JPEG if you want the finished look and the negative.
How many film looks fit at once?
Three — the three User Def. slots. Swapping one takes under a minute with EOS Utility.
