Canon EOS 90D — Film Looks & Free Picture Styles
The 90D is the enthusiast's DSLR: 32 MP of resolution, class-leading battery life, and the video specs that made it a favorite among hybrid shooters. All of that works with custom Picture Styles — film looks apply to the stills and to the video output alike, which makes the 90D a natural body for a cinematic, in-camera graded look.
Because the style is part of the development recipe, it costs nothing in speed: the 10 fps burst, the AF and the battery behave exactly the same with a film look loaded.
How to load a film look on the EOS 90D
On the 90D, picture styles are registered from a computer: install EOS Utility (free from Canon), connect over USB, and use "Register Picture Style file" under the camera settings/remote shooting section. Choose one of the three User Def. slots and open the .PF3 — done in seconds. Newer EOS Utility versions can also do this over Wi-Fi if you prefer cable-free.
The body does not register style files from the SD card — if you don't see that option in the menu, that's expected; use the computer route described in the installation guide.

FAQ
Does a Picture Style affect video on the 90D?
Yes — the style applies to movie recording too, so a film-look file grades your clips in camera. If you also shoot stills in RAW, those keep full flexibility for later grading in DPP.
Which film look is best for wildlife on the 90D?
Velvia for saturated, slide-film color in good light; HP5 if you want timeless black and white. Both are free downloads on this page.
Will a custom style overwrite my settings?
It fills one of the three User Def. slots and nothing else — your Standard, Portrait or any factory style remains untouched, and you can switch back in one menu click.
